"STRONGER TOGETHER" - OUR
CONTRIBUTION TO INFORMAL EDUCATION

 The project "Stronger together", which was implemented in several primary and secondary schools in Nis over environmental, sports - recreational and workshops on security, has achieved its goal, it was estimated at a press conference in Nis Media Center. "Youth leisure time we have completed with new facilities through non-formal education and in that way, at least briefly, separated them from the television and social networks,said Ivana Jovic,Coordinator of Youth Office in Palilula Municipality. Within the project was also organized one-month school of comics for children aged 12 to 16 years. The works of young artists, created in the workshops of the project were presented to the public in the gallery of Children's Centre in Nis from January 30 to February 1.

WASTE DISPOSAL ACCORDING TO EUROPEAN METHOD SOON IN NIS

 In Nis will start from March organized collection of dry waste that can be recycled from the purchase of a buckets and a special truck that has arrived at the recycling center JKP "Mediana". This is about the realization of the second phase of the project CBC Nis and the Bulgarian Municipality of Pernik, worth 480,000 euros, which will be in line with European standards to improve waste management system in Nis. Households of City Municipalities of Palilula and Mediana will soon receive total of 18,300 plastic buckets and 138,000 plastic bags for disposal of packaging waste.

NEW NUMBER OF SCHOOL LIST "DESANKA`S GROUP"

 At the St. Sava's ceremony, which was held on January 27 in the elementary school "Desanka Maksimovic" in Cokot, the 24th number of school magazine "Desanka`s group " was promoted.
This school newsletter, edited by prof.Mile Penkov with school students, has been published for twelve years. The school newspaper is printed on 22 pages and contains the most important information from the work of educational institutions recorded and shaped by the students of the school.

SAINT SAVA VALUES ARE INSPIRING US

 In all the schools of the territory of Palilula, St Sava Day was celebrated with the stage-musical program prepared by pupils, students and teachers, and with the blessing of Bishop of Nis Dr Jovan.
School Slava -Saints Day- Savindan is marked and celebrated in the elementary school `Desanka Maksimovic` in Cokot village and boarding school `Bubanj`, where recently were appointed new headmasters. These schools were visited by the president of Palilula Boban Džunić.

FLOOD AT THE ENTRY TO NOVO SELO

 Palilula Municipality has requested the immediate intervention of the City department for emergency situations. Communal Inspectorate of Palilula, urgently reacted and went out into the field at the invitation of the Council of Citizens Community Office "9.Maj" in Novo Selo, on the occasion caused by flooding at the underpass at the entrance to this place inhabited.Due to heavy rainfall, the water flooded the entire length of the space on the left and right side of the tracks, along to a business zone. About the new situation was also informed the City staff for the emergency situation which has jurisdiction to act in the circumstances.

MODERN PRODUCTION OF VEGETABLES AND SUBSIDIES

 "Agriculture is dominant industry in Serbia and all the activities of the Ministry will be directed towards its stimulation and development," said Zeljko Radosevic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture while opening Fourth Council of vegetable producers in southern Serbia in Nis, which was organized at the Army Hall of Serbia. In 2015, we expect the cycle of accreditation of our organizational structure in agriculture in order to, from 2016 to 2020, could apply for 175 million euros from the fund (IPA Rural Development - IPARD) EU, which is intended for rural development and incentives of agricultural production.

"WASTE" PROJECT - SUPPORT TO MUNICIPAL COMMUNAL WASTE MANAGEMENT

 After successfully realized project "Living Green", which results at the beginning of last year 2014 were promoted by Palilula Municipality in Nis and the Municipality of Ihtiman, PUE "Mediana" through cross-border project "Waste Management System-exchange of good practice in the BG-RS cross-border region WASTE ", with Bulgarian Municipality of Pernik provided buckets and bags for selecting waste. The division to people, living in the territory of Mediana and Palilula, will start in March and by the end of January and a special car that will participate in recycling waste will also come, it was announced at a press conference.

NEW YEAR'S PRESENTS IN PALILULA

 On the occasion of the Orthodox New Year, Boban Džunić, president of Municipality of Palilula-Nis, shared the "New Year's gifts" to children from socially disadvantaged families in the municipality of Palilula. The packages are provided with the support of the Center for Social Work "Sveti Sava" in Nis, and donors. Zoran Jovic, director of the Center for Social Work in Niš, who attended the ceremony, said that from the total number of persons who have been registered with the requirements of the Centre, more than 67 percent of citizens are from the territory of Palilula.

SUCCESSFULLY ORGANIZED NEW 2015 "IN THE HEART OF PALILULA"

 New Year was welcomed in Nis "in the heart of Palilula", with performances by musicians from Nis, trumpeters and fireworks, while Santa Claus (KK "Nonius") with the president, was giving gifts to the children. Happy New year 2015, to the citizens gathered at midnight, at a temperature of minus fifteen degrees, wished the president of Palilula, Boban Džunić. He pointed out that Palilula Municipality was doing everything for the citizens, with the help of donors and people of good will offer New Year program in the "heart of Palilula". We made happy about 700 children with sharing our gifts. It was totally new experience for my team of associates. We fulfilled the promise given to our citizens.
